What Is In The Name?
Most tech companies have a BizOps unit, including Stripe, Uber, Shopify, Notion and many others. The title, however, tends to vary from one employer to another. Examples include “Strategy & Operations”, “Strategic Initiatives”, “Special Projects”, “Strategy & Business Operations”, and of course “Business Operations”. If you meet someone who works in tech and has a title like this, odds are the person does some version of the job I’m about to describe.
